LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms

Last updated:

What it does

LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms are the sign-up forms you can attach to paid LinkedIn ads. When someone fills one in, LinkedIn already has their details, so the form is quick to complete. This integration brings those leads into Chorum: each one becomes a Contact and a Deal in your CRM pipeline, ready to follow up.

Paid ads only. Lead Gen Forms are part of LinkedIn Campaign Manager and cannot be attached to ordinary posts. To capture leads from organic LinkedIn posts, link to a Chorum landing page or form instead. See Forms and lead capture.

Before you start

  • A LinkedIn account with access to Campaign Manager and at least one campaign using a Lead Gen Form.
  • An admin role in Chorum.
  • The LinkedIn integration must be enabled for your workspace. If Connect shows an error, contact Chorum support and we will switch it on.

Connect LinkedIn

  1. Go to CRM, Settings, Lead Sources.
  2. On the LinkedIn card, choose Connect.
  3. Sign in to LinkedIn with the account that manages your ad campaigns, and approve the permissions it asks for.
  4. You return to Chorum and the card shows CONNECTED.

Bring leads in

LinkedIn does not send leads to other systems automatically, so you pull them in:

  1. Go to CRM, Settings, Lead Sources.
  2. Choose Sync Now on the LinkedIn connection.
  3. Chorum fetches every new lead since the last sync and tells you how many it imported.

Sync after each day of a campaign, or whenever you are about to follow up on leads.

What gets created

  • A Contact with the person's name, email, phone and job title, with its source set to LinkedIn.
  • A Company, if the lead gave a company name.
  • A Deal linked to the contact and company, in the Lead stage of your pipeline.

If a contact with the same email address already exists, the lead is skipped, so syncing twice never creates duplicates.

Tips

  • Follow up quickly. Leads from ads go cold fast; a reply on the same day makes a big difference.
  • Use an automation to send a welcome email when new leads arrive. See Marketing automations and drip sequences.
  • Keep the form short. Name, email and company is usually enough.

Troubleshooting

  • No leads imported: check the campaign uses a Lead Gen Form and has had submissions. Organic posts do not produce leads through this integration.
  • Connection stopped working: LinkedIn sign-ins expire after about 60 days. Disconnect and connect again.
  • Connect shows an error: the integration may not be enabled for your workspace yet. Contact Chorum support.

Disconnecting

Choose Disconnect on the LinkedIn connection. Leads you have already imported stay in your CRM.
